Site Tracking

Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction.

_cfduid – This is a Strictly Necessary cookie as it controls security features from Cloudflare, it cannot be disabled and doesn’t contain any user identification information.

Cloudflare security cookie – The cfduid cookie is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis.

For example, if the visitor is in a coffee shop where there are a bunch of infected machines, but the specific visitor’s machine is trusted (e.g, because they’ve completed a challenge within your Challenge Passage period), the cookie allows us to identify that client and not challenge them again.

  • When you enquire about purchasing a vehicle on finance, we will collect information to enable third parties to provide finance quotes and agreements. 
  • We collect personal information from you when you apply for a job with us to enable us to contact you and process your application.

  • We collect and process your personal information for producing invoices and accounting purposes which is required to meet HMRC legislation.

Van Haven Newsletter, Sites and Databases

If you choose to subscribe to the Van Haven Newsletter or websites, the email address that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services.

We consider MailChimp to be a third-party data processor. The email address that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of our internal computer systems.

Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list.

HOW LONG WILL WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.

All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
